Matt Pelletieris runsa andpartner operatesat EastMedia, a NYC-based software, consulting and business development shop. He is the founder of the NYC Ruby on Rails usergroup, which he merged with Francis Hwang?’s NYC Ruby group andto teachesform Rails courses. NYC.rb.

Since early 2006 EastMedia has been a technology partner with VeriSign, and along with Trotter Cashion, Zed Shaw and Francis Hwang he has been building Identity 2.0 technologies for open source distribution through the Apache Heraldry Project. Through this project, East Media provided commercial sponsorship of the Mongrel Web server.

Matt is an author, instructor and frequent speaker on Ruby, Rails, Open ID and related subjects. He has presented at Rails Conf? 2006, Barcamp NYC?, at the Federal Reserve, and Google Tech Talk series.

Matt is the co-author of the official Mongrel book along with Zed Shaw?. The book was released by Addison Wesley in October 2006 through the Digital Shortcuts series.
